About AJ Locks and Services

AJ Locks and Services is a locksmith based in Newark that works as a mobile service rather than a shop, so it visits customers at their property. The business is not open around the clock. Customers mention a range of jobs, including replacing faulty double glazed units, repairing broken handles and slack hinges on uPVC windows and doors, realigning doors that catch, and fitting replacement locks.

Reviewers describe the work as prompt and tidy, with the engineer arriving when expected and giving an accurate arrival time in advance. Several say the work was explained clearly and that they were shown how to handle small problems themselves. Customers describe the engineer as knowledgeable and friendly, and report that the finished repairs worked well.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
