About Anvil Locksmiths Ltd

Anvil Locksmiths Ltd is a Glasgow business that works from a fixed base rather than only travelling to customers. Customers mention a range of work, including fitting and keying alike locks in a newly moved-into property, copying a Schlage key that other locksmiths had been unable to copy, and a bespoke metal handrail measured on site, fabricated and fitted. One customer described the handrail as well made and a fair price, and another praised the speed of the work.

One review reports poor communication, while others describe a quick response and reasonable prices. The evidence is mixed on this point, and customers' accounts vary.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
