About AW Auto Locks Colchester

AW Auto Locks Colchester is a mobile automotive locksmith, so it visits customers rather than operating from a shop. Customers mention car key work, including replacing worn keys, fitting new key blades and keyholder sets to central locking, and getting customers back into a car after keys were left inside. Reviewers describe fast callouts, with some saying the locksmith arrived within the hour or within 30 minutes.

Customers also say the locksmith explained the work clearly, tested the keys before leaving and was polite and considerate. One reviewer reports that a same-day key service was provided for a motorhome. Another describes a case where a key could not be completed because of the vehicle itself, and says the charge was limited to the callout fee.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
