About Baldwin Locksmiths Ltd

Baldwin Locksmiths Ltd is based in Newport and operates a mobile service, so it visits customers rather than trading from a shop. The business is open around the clock, as shown on the listing. Customers mention lockouts from vehicles and houses, a snapped key stuck in a lock, a door lock that would not fasten, and a sheared latch that needed replacing. Several describe a quick arrival after the first call.

Reviewers also say the locksmiths explained the work as it progressed and gave an idea of likely costs over the phone before attending. Some mention that the team suggested a cheaper method where one was available, and others describe the staff as friendly and thorough.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
