About C & D Security

C & D Security is a locksmith based in Reading, serving the local area and not limited to a fixed service zone. Customers mention a range of work, including repairs to uPVC door and window locks, fixing older bifold doors, adjusting door locking mechanisms, lockouts, and realigning a door after a gearbox fault. Several reviews describe the service as prompt and efficient, with visits arranged on the same day.

Reviewers say the engineer explained how to make locks last longer and was helpful with older doors that they had been told needed replacing. One customer reported an out-of-hours lockout attended late on a Friday evening. Across the reviews, customers describe a friendly, practical approach to the work.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
