About Dave Longcake Locksmith

Dave Longcake Locksmith is a Carlisle-based business that customers describe as covering callouts around the town. Reviewers mention lockouts, fitting new locks after a house move, replacing a thumb lock for a pub on an opening day, and adjusting a shop door that would not close properly. Several say he arrived within about half an hour to two hours of their call, including at weekends, and that he returned with non-standard parts when needed.

Customers also praise the workmanship, the friendly manner, and the willingness to come back to realign a door after the work was finished. Pricing is described as reasonable, and one reviewer says the service was affordable for an urgent weekend job.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
