About Ed-Lock Ltd

Ed-Lock Ltd is a locksmith based in Loughborough that specialises in van security upgrades. Its work is described as covering hook locks, deadlocks and shield plates, with the business also servicing existing van slam locks. The listing shows it as a shop rather than a service that is limited to a set area, and it is not an overnight service.

Customers mention van jobs on Ford Transit and Mercedes Sprinter campervans, with fittings made to both the driver and passenger doors. Reviewers describe the office booking jobs in quickly, a fitter arriving on time and finishing a job in around 90 minutes, and the work being neat and tidy. One customer says the fitter explained how to troubleshoot the locks.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
