About For Locks That Break
For Locks That Break is a locksmith based in York, operating as a local business rather than a service that covers only a wider area. Customers who have used the firm mention jobs including lock replacements after a move, faulty lock changes, and getting into a home after a lockout. Reviewers describe the work as quick to arrange, with the locksmith arriving on time and explaining the problem before starting the job. Several note that the front door was an older wooden one that needed care, and that the work was completed without damage.
Reviewers also comment on the cost, describing the charges as reasonable and, in one case, lower than other quotes they had received. The business is listed as open around the clock.

Before you book
Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
