About Gorgie Cobblers
Gorgie Cobblers is a shoe repair shop in Edinburgh, operating from a fixed premises rather than as a mobile service, and it serves customers across the city. Customers mention repairs to footwear, including resoling and heel work on boots, along with sharpening of scissors and the cutting of keys. Reviewers describe quick turnaround times, with one noting that scissors dropped off in the afternoon were ready the next day.
Several customers say the work was of good quality and that staff were helpful and explained the options. One reviewer, who has used the shop for years, contrasts its craftsmanship and value with larger chains. A reviewer also points out that key cutting costs more here than at some other places, so pricing is mentioned as a point of comparison.

Before you book
Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
