About Max The Locksmith
Max The Locksmith is a Nottingham-based service that operates around the clock, offering mobile call-outs rather than a shop premises. Customers describe jobs including lockouts, handle and lock replacements, and the repair of older uPVC windows, such as a tilt-and-turn window whose hinges had sheared. Another customer mentions fitting and setting up new key safes, and one reports a same-day visit arranged by message.
Reviewers consistently describe the work as prompt and well explained. Several say the locksmith talked them through what was wrong and what he was doing, and one noted that a lock was replaced without damage to the door. Customers also mention fair pricing for parts and repairs, and report that work was completed quickly once the visit began.

Before you book
Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
