About Mcginty Locksmiths

Mcginty Locksmiths is a locksmith business in Livingston that operates as a local service with an open premises rather than a mobile-only operation. Customers mention work on back doors and lock mechanisms, including replacing an inner mechanism and making adjustments so a door locks more smoothly. Reviewers describe a prompt response, including at short notice and late at night, and say the work was explained clearly as it was done.

Several customers report that the staff member they dealt with was friendly and professional, and that the price felt fair for the detailed work involved. One customer describes being locked out at night and having the lock replaced the following day.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
