About MCR Locksmiths

MCR Locksmiths is a locksmith based in Manchester that operates a mobile service and covers the area on call. Customers mention emergency-style call-outs, including a lockout at night where a door mechanism had failed, and a repair to a damaged door after an overnight break-in at a vacant property. Reviewers describe fast arrival times, often within 10 to 20 minutes of calling, and a clear explanation of the work before it was carried out.

One reviewer disagreed with the price quoted for a replacement part and said they hired a different locksmith instead, so the quoted cost is worth checking before work starts. Other reviewers report the parts fitted were covered by a one-year warranty and describe the locksmith as polite and considerate.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
