About NKT Security

NKT Security is a locksmith based in Edinburgh that operates as a fixed-location business rather than a service area only. Customers describe a range of work, including emergency lockouts, lock installations, a security check of external doors and the fitting of an alarm with a key fob and app setup. One customer mentions the replacement of outer door barrels, handles and hasps following a security inspection.

Reviewers describe prompt arrival, clear communication and a tidy workspace. Several mention that the work was done without damage, that the pricing was reasonable and that the locksmith worked quietly during an evening call-out. Some customers note that the job itself was difficult, such as picking an old lock with worn keys, and say the job was still completed.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
