About Pentland Locksmiths Services

Pentland Locksmiths Services is a mobile locksmith based in Bonnyrigg. Customers report work on front and back door locks, including a broken composite door lock and a multi-point lock, as well as opening a lockbox after a lost key. Reviewers describe arriving within the hour or the same day, and the lock work being completed on the spot or returned to within two days when a part had to be ordered.

Customers describe the owner as friendly, professional and careful in his approach, explaining which locks suit a job. Some report prices as fair or reasonable, while one mentions a call-out fee. One customer was advised to contact a glazing firm for a window that would not close properly, as this falls outside the business's own work.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
