About Saltney Locksmiths

Saltney Locksmiths is based in Chester and operates as a shop rather than a service restricted to a particular area. Customers mention a range of work, including lockouts, broken door locks, the replacement of a barrel and locking mechanism, and key cutting. Reviewers describe fast arrival times, with one reporting an engineer attending within 20 minutes, and say the work was completed promptly and tidily. Some customers note that prices were lower than those of a national chain, and others say the staff were friendly and accommodating of their schedules.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
