About The Car Key Guy

The Car Key Guy is a mobile locksmith based in Ware that works on vehicle keys, including replacing and reprogramming car keys and fobs. The business comes to the customer rather than operating from a shop. Customers report that it has attended on the same day, including at a workplace, and has supplied and programmed new keys on site.

Reviews are mostly positive, with customers describing the work as quick, the contact as prompt, and the staff as polite, professional and clear in explaining what they were doing. One reviewer reported that a replacement key failed within weeks and that the matter was not resolved to their satisfaction.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
