About Thistle Locks

Thistle Locks is a locksmith based in Inverkeithing that customers mention for key cutting and lock work. Reviewers describe jobs including a lock change for a friend, fitting a modern mortise lock to older brass handles, and repairing windows that had stopped opening. One customer says the work was done in a day, and another mentions a visit the next morning.

Customers also comment on the shop's location and on the cut quality of keys compared with supermarket machines. Several reviewers describe the service as reliable and say the staff explained the work and came back to check a finished installation, including patio doors fitted in hot weather.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
