About 1st Call Locksmiths

1st Call Locksmiths is a locksmith based in Penicuik. It is a mobile service rather than a shop, and it is not limited to a fixed service area. Customers mention lockouts, lock replacements, a uPVC door repair where parts were no longer available, and identifying a faulty door mechanism.

Customers describe the business as quick to arrive, with some reporting attendance within about 15 minutes of calling and others noting that the work was finished within an hour. Reviewers say the price was stated up front or felt reasonable, and that the locksmith gave clear advice without pressure to buy more.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
