About 1st Security Locksmiths

1st Security Locksmiths is a mobile service based in Redruth, covering the surrounding area rather than operating from a fixed shop. Customers mention a range of work, including lock fitting to doors and windows, a full house lock change, repairs to a sticking uPVC door, and gaining access to a locked flat. One customer reports that the business has helped with a car locked with a child inside, although car work is not its usual focus.

Reviewers describe quick replies, prompt visits and clear explanations of the work and the options available. Several note careful handling of older or listed-building fittings, and one reports that the locksmith asked for proof of legal right of entry before drilling a lock. Customers describe the pricing as reasonable.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
