About Mckays locksmiths

Mckays Locksmiths is a Glasgow business that operates from a shop rather than as a mobile-only service, and it covers the wider city area. Customers mention lockouts, where visitors describe prompt arrival, a professional approach and work that was finished quickly. Some also praise the friendly, knowledgeable manner of the staff, and one customer says the team gave helpful advice on a project that needed specific hardware.

Key cutting is a service customers mention, and reviews on this point are mixed. One customer reports that a safe key was not cut as they expected and felt the staff did not handle the request well, while others describe the shop as a regular source for key cutting.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
