About Option 4

Option 4 is an automotive locksmith in Preston that focuses on car keys and key fobs. The Google summary describes it as providing repairs and programming for car key fobs. The business is not open around the clock, and it operates from a workshop rather than as a service area only.

Customers mention repairing and reprogramming damaged car keys and fobs, including a VW key that had been run over, and a fob that had been affected by water. Several describe quick turnaround, with one reporting a repair completed within around thirty minutes and another a fob diagnosed and returned within a few hours. Reviewers also say the staff were helpful and accommodating, including fitting in a last-minute visit, and that the prices were lower than alternatives they had been quoted.

Before you book

Ask for the total price, including the call-out, before the locksmith sets off, and ask whether they will try to open a locked door without drilling it. If the price changes a lot once they arrive, you can say no. Our guide to choosing a locksmith covers the warning signs.
